As part of a season-long program, ¡Yo Quiero! has teamed up with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football to honor some of Texas high school football’s brightest figures — team moms! On September 21st, ¡Yo Quiero! recognized Shannon Oliver, Team mom from Shadow Creek High School with a Team Mom Appreciation Award for going above and beyond to support the Shadow Creek Sharks throughout the season.  

“We are always impressed with the collective commitment it takes to keep those iconic Friday Night Lights shining week after week here in Texas,” said Jay Alley, Co-Owner and Vice President of ¡Yo Quiero!. “That is in no small part because of the scores of supportive, friends, families, coaches, and, especially, Team Moms.”

This season, ten Team Moms who have had a positive effect on their community will be selected and presented with an award and a $500 donation back to their school during this fall when Texas high school football is front and center. Oliver, alongside the other nine Team Moms selected this season, will be eligible for the Ultimate Team Mom of the Year Award when voting begins at texasfootball.com at the end of the season.
